Even if you use low calorie mayo, mustard doesn’t have many calories period. 1 Tbl mustard approx. contain 11-14 calories, depending on the mustard. Reg mayo containes approximately 99 calories. Reduced Fat Mayo contains approximately 20 cal per 1 Tbl. You make the choice.

2. Eat more noncreamy soups, like Chix broth, onion soup or any soups that don’t have noodles in them as they bring up the calorie content.

3. Cut back or just cut out drinking sodas, lemonades or any drinks that contain sugar. There have been many people who just cut out the sweet drinks and lost weight by making this one change. If you drink Coke everyday and switch to Diet Coke, you should lose about 25 lbs in a year. Just watch out for diet sodas because artificial sweeteners can cause you to increase your appetite.

4. If you can, take a lunch to work with you. This way you are not tempted to eat high fat fast foods especially when you are hungry.

5. Sit when you eat. This way you are concentrating on your foods. Sitting helps you digest your foods better than standing or walking when eating.
