The majority of people who struggle with eating at night are those who usually skip meals or not eating a well balanced meal throughout the day. This causes the major setup for binging and overeating at night.

2. Eat your dinner meal in the kitchen or dining room, sitting down at the table, preferably with your family.

3. Drink cold unsweetened raspberry tea, decaffeinated, of course. It tastes great and keeps your mouth busy. Actually any decaf tea that you enjoy will due.

4. If you need to, change your nighttime schedule. It will take some effort, but will pay off. What you are looking to do is something that will occupy your minds and hands.

5. If you are stressed out, find a nonfood method of coping with your stress. If you are eating at night due to stress emotions, find out what is bothering you and deal with it that works for you.

2. Make just a few changes to your kitchen and pantry shelves. Just a few changes can get you closer to your weight loss goals. Here’s an example: If you use corn and peanut oil, replace it with olive oil

3. More changes you can make in your kitchen is changing from white bread to whole wheat bread.

4. Why not trade in those fatty cold cuts like salami and bologna and replace them with canned tunna, sliced turkey breast, lean ham and lean roast beef.

5. Why not trade your whole milk to 1% milk or low-fat soy milk. If you are using 2% milk transition down to 1%. I don’t believe in fat-free milk but if you choose to, then eventually transition down to fat-free milk.

1. Fat-free is not always your best bet. There has been research that found none of the lycopene or beta-carotene that help fight cancer and heart diseae is absorbed from fat-free dressings or fat-free foods. Better to go with the low calorie or 1% milks.

2. Don’t skip your breakfast. Skipping breakfast can leave you tired and craving sweet foods by midmorning.

3. Instead of skipping breakfast, fill up up a sweet, fruity breakfast full of antioxidances. In a blender, take 1 c nonfat or low fat plain or vanilla yougurt, frozen strawberries (1-1/3 s) no added sugar, 1 peeled kiwi and 1 banana. Now you can substitute the fruits you enjoy. Then pulse until mixtures has a milkshake consistency. This usually makes a 2 cup serving with approx 348 calories and 1.5 grams of fat.

4. If you are starving by 4 pm and you are in the office with no alternative to be able to leave, reach for the nuts. The same applies if your only choices are at a mini-bar.

5. The next time you are feeling wiped out in the late afternoon, forget that cup of coffee and reach for a cup of yogurt instead. The combination of protein, carbs and fat in an 8-ounce service of low-fat yogure will give you a feeling of fullness that you can’t get from coffee. 2. Juice has many calories. It is better to eat the fruit then drink the juice. Ounce for ounce, juice has as many calories as soda. Set a limit of one 8-ounce glass of fruit juice a day. Better if you dilute the juice with half water then you are getting 16 ounce of juice diluted. Better yet, don’t drink juice. Eat the fruit.

3. Get calories from the foods you chew and not the beverages you drink. Again, eating the fruit instead of the fruit juice.

4. If you want to see how much you eat and drink throughout the day, keep a journal. You will be surprised how much you really eat and not what you think you ate.

5. There is a chinese saying “Eat until you are eight-tenths full.” If you pay attention to eating, you will most likely feel when you are full or almost-full and then stop eating.
